KOHEN JAYCEE – ABILITY (Coming Soon)

It’s been a while since I wrote something here. I don’t think there’s a better way to scrape off the rust than to dive back in with a subject that’s as sure as they come. Ladies and Gentlemen, once again, we are getting into Kohen season.
Since 2019, Kohen Jaycee has blessed us with amazing music towards the tail end of almost every year, allowing us to close off the year with that Special Fever. He released the WENA EP in November 2019, WENA II in November 2021, and the Heart Strings EP in November 2022. This year, Kohen promised us his debut album! No dates have been announced yet, but he should know that we are already praying for that pattern to be maintained.
As we brace for impact, Kohen has announced and teased a new single that has us losing our minds. Kohen Jaycee is dropping Ability this Friday, 22nd September 2023, and we are definitely here for it. The soulful singer has teased an acoustic version of the single that has given us a little more than a sneak peek into what he has in store for us. If you haven’t been paying attention, or if you have any doubts when it comes to what he is capable of, then “I pray for you if you doubt his Ability” just like the first line from the teaser.

This teaser has us excited and eager to hear the full single. It’s catchy, it’s meaningful, it’s relatable… It feels like the perfect way to ease us into Kohen album mode and to get us to join him in celebrating his journey thus far. If you haven’t checked out the previous projects, please do yourself a favor and get up to speed.
In the spirit of celebration, Kohen Jaycee will be at Guvnor on release day (Friday 22nd September), where you can join him for the Ganda Vibes experience and get a chance to watch him perform Ability Live for the first time.
